The PV restaurant lineup has generated plenty of headlines, including announcements for several restaurants at the former Paradise Valley Mall redevelopment. The headlines make it sound like the site flipped a switch overnight.
It didn't. Most of what's generating buzz at the PV site is still a permit, a rendering, or a press release with a year attached and no month. Four more restaurants have been announced for the PV site. If you live nearby and you're trying to figure out where to actually eat this month, that distinction matters more than the roster of names still to come.
What's Actually Open Right Now
At Cactus Road and Tatum Boulevard, the former Paradise Valley Mall has spent the past two years being rebuilt into a mixed-use district the developer calls PV. Federal Pizza opened its second location there on August 12, inside a custom-built space with a patio big enough to make outdoor seating the default rather than the overflow. That's the one restaurant in the entire PV redevelopment that a resident can walk into tonight.
Everything Else Is Still a Name and an Address
Here's what's been announced for the PV site but doesn't have a working kitchen yet, based on the developer's own timeline:
- Cala, the second location for Clive Collective and chef Beau MacMillan's coastal European concept, which has served Scottsdale diners out of Senna House Hotel since 2022, is anticipated to open at 4596 E. Cactus Road.
- Harry & Izzy's, the Indianapolis grill from Huse Culinary and a sister restaurant to the century-old St. Elmo's Steak House, is planned for the northeast corner of PV's park, its first location outside Indiana.
- Velvet Taco is bringing a second Arizona location to PV after opening its first in Old Town Scottsdale, expanding a menu built around globally inspired tacos.
- The Vig announced in March that its eighth Valley location is coming to PV, with a custom design meant to echo the original mall's 1978 construction, down to adobe brick sourced from one of the state's last remaining suppliers.
None of these have opening dates more specific than "2026." The developer has also said it's still pursuing a seafood concept and a breakfast spot for the same site, which tells you the roster isn't finished being written.
| Location | What's Happening | Status |
|---|---|---|
| PV, Cactus & Tatum | Federal Pizza | Open since August 12 |
| PV, Cactus & Tatum | Cala, Harry & Izzy's, Velvet Taco, The Vig | Announced for 2026, no set date |
Laid out this way, the PV restaurant lineup is still taking shape. Useful to know before you plan an evening around a name you saw in a headline three months ago.
What This Actually Means If You Live Here
The PV restaurant lineup is a gradual build, not a single grand opening. Federal Pizza is open, while the other announced restaurants remain in the pipeline.
